Solo hosted? Host + interviewee? Two co-hosts? Magazine or documentary style? The format of your podcast format will determine how much time it will take us to produce your episodes and the level of skill involved.

Standard or Premium edit?

There are different ways to approach editing your recordings to turn them into professional sounding podcast episodes. Depending on what you want to achieve with your podcast, a standard edit may be sufficient. In other cases a more in-depth edit may be required. Sometimes referred to as a ‘producer’s edit’; removing waffle and repetition, improving sentence structure, cutting out awkward pauses, filler words which can sometimes undermine the host’s sense of authority on their subject - there’s a fine art to editing your audio!

How long you plan to record for will have an impact on the cost of your editing. This is where a bit of thought given to your planning goes a long way - getting into good habits and not letting your recording go on for too long will keep your costs lower.

If your raw audio recording is 2 hours long, and you require the finished episode to be 30 mins long (yes those podcasts hosts do exist!) that’s quite a time consuming task. We generally ask that our hosts record for now more than 15 mins longer than their desired episode length, so if you want to publish 30 min long episodes, aim to keep your recording under the 45 minute mark.
